Design a 32 page 'minimal luxe' lookbook for couture designer Corrie Nielsen's new AW12 collection. Working with photographs taken at London Fashion Week February 2012.
Straight after the show, (while the fashion press were praising her designs and hailing her a successor to Alexander McQueen), we got to work on her new lookbook. This was our first chance to see the collection and we had to work quickly to meet press interest over the weekend.
Our ideas came from the garments, fabics, make up, accessories, colour palette and reading about Corrie's inspiration.
The layered garments were reflected in the front cover design, bold red referenced the Scottish theme. The spotty make up, painted on the models hands, was introduced behind quotes, photographs by Christopher Dadey. The lookbook tells the story behind her collection, with quotes from leading fashion press throughout.
Having started work late Friday afternoon, we finished it on Saturday evening; a speedy turnaround and one delighted client.
